Sad but true
a reality you are
here, there, everywhere
who, what,  gave  you birth
but us, our cruelty, greed, selfish ways
suffering, pain, sick, poor, homeless caused
to end your life is to begin again a new seed, an embryo
only love, care, selfless ways, end to our greed, hear your woes
may ease your pain, let you shun your ways, learn to love, not hate
some say, wipe ‘him’ off our face, destroy and that should do
if only Buddha, Christ, Allah and Krishna would all arise
no wars, only peace, of giving, loving kindness reigns
rain a world of green, for Mother Nature’s gain
hear, feel the weep of hope in a newborn’s cry
sing a lullaby, a song of joy, of celebration
take your hand, with white stick and all
guide you through, make a still birth
 you … brand new hope, new seed
a brand new world, a beginning
of fairness, justice and all
for you to sing, rejoice
live, love, hope.

රෙන්ටන් ද අල්විස්ගෙ පබැඳුමක්

භීතිය, මරණය
අවි දරා අමෝරා
වෛර ගිණි විනාශය
සිත් පුරා වපුරලා, ත්‍රස්ත බව
නිපුන කොට අපට එරෙහිව යූද වැදි
ඔබ, ඹ්පපාතිකව ඉපදුනා නම් මා, ඔබ
ගෙල තද කොට මරා දැමුවාට කම් නැතැයි කියන්නට
මැලි නොවෙමි. එහෙත් සත්‍යයේ යථාර්තය එය එසේ නොවන බව
මට පසක් කර ඇති නිසා, එය එසේ යැයි සිතා, කියා ගැලවෙන්නට මට නොහැක.
ඔබ අපේම, මගේම, අවජාතක දරැවකු වන නිසාත්, කුවේණියක වන් ඔබ මවට
අප, මම, කල වින, නිහින කම් වල දරැණු පව් ගෙවිය යුතු නිසාත් දැන්
මා ඔබට ආදරය කරන්නට, මෙත් ගුණය බෙදන්නට, අදිටනින්
අපේ වින කාරණා... අසීමිත තන්හාව, වංකබව, ආශාව
කුරිරැ බව, දුගී බව, වෛරයෙන් දැවී ගිය ආදරය
කරැණාව මෙනහි කර පසක් කර සොයන්නමි.
සොයා ඔබ වෙත ගෙනැත්, මවක ඇය
ඇකයේ හුවා නළවන ළදරැවකු සේ
සුසිඳු මෙත් ගුණ දියෙන් නාවා
ඔබේ පව් සූරලා, සෝදලා
අපෙ, මගේ, ඔබේ පව්
ඒ සමග මුසු කරන්
ජීවයේ නව ගීය
හඬ තියා වයා
ගයන්නෙමි.
