A few weeks ago I bought myself a trilingual key board and learnt first to 'pen' my thoughts on the keyboard in Sinhala. A step ahead from the English that I was used to all my life when using a computer. My next challenge is to learn the Tamil keyboard and 'pen' an expression of mine in Tamil. That will take a while, but that is a mission I seek to accomplish. While it will give me personal pleasure, I also believe that our common future as a nation rests in similar efforts and invite my friends to think about it.
Nalaka's son Podi who is in grade one in school is now learning Tamil and making him more interested in learning is a task I see fit. Just bought him a plastic letter alphabet of Tamil letters.
Need also to learn how to bring in pix for they are a common language and one speaks a thousand words.
