You reached beyond
sought horizon's edge
scaled new heights
dipped deep within
swam a thousand seas
mended many a hearts

You heard and touched
the soft wind's feel
saw and sought
what's left and gone
stood still a while
for a wilderness call

You touched my soul
with paint brush strokes
churned my blood in kaleidoscope
watched me reach my climax call
took my hand
I closed my eyes
to reach beyond
that clarion call.
